Let's look at how to adjust the screen size using
VirtualBox Guest Additions in Kali Linux

$ apt-get install dkms -y
$ /etc/init.d/vboxadd setup

$ apt-get update && apt-get install -y linux-headers-$(uname -r)

# In VirtualBox, go to the menu and click
# 'Insert Guest Additions CD image'.

$ cd /media/cdrom0
$ cp VBoxLinux* /root
$ cd /root
$ chmod 755 VBoxLinux*
$ ./VBoxLinux*
 
$ reboot

By changing the Graphics Controller to VBoxVGA as shown below,

you can adjust the screen size and control it in full-screen mode.
